URDAX AND ZUGARRAMURDI

The legend and mystery of witches lives on among the locals in Zugarramurdi, who these days are happy to show visitors the caves that were the scene of witches’ meetings and the celebration of “Akelarres” (traditional dance ceremonies of the covens). Urdazubi also offers visitors the chance to visit the thousand-year-old caves of Ikaburu.
